LED and Laser Lights for Holiday Parties Inside and Out

Who says laser and LED holiday light displays have to be parties outdoors only? You’ve seen homes and businesses in the neighborhood with lights twinkling along the shrubs and against the stucco, and like most of us, you’ve looked on in envy. You might also have thought that it’s nice, but wondered if that’s the only thing the projection units can do. Happily, it isn’t!

Outside, against a home making snowflakes and twinkling holiday stars isn’t the only way to enjoy special effects lighting. Lights along the home and landscaping isn’t the only way festive Christmas holiday displays can make an impact. When used inside and aimed at the ceiling or a feature wall, the holiday displays make for the most cheerful indoor party imaginable. Just add a little Christmas music, snacks and drinks of your choice, and let the lights set the mood!

While we need to take precautions when using indoor models outdoors, it is simple enough to use outdoor models either on the lawn or inside, where the party is happening on a chilly night.

To add a cozy element to light display and cheery atmosphere, try spiking the hot chocolate with a little red wine. Here’s a delicious recipe to try.

1 and ½ cups 2% milk

1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

¾ cup red wine

¼ cup sugar

Marshmallows or whipped cream (optional)

Warm the milk on medium heat, gradually stirring in the chocolate. Turn the heat up just a little once the chocolate is incorporated. Stir in the sugar, continuing to stir. Add the wine, still stirring. Don’t let th mixture scorch, but be sure it’s hot enough before dividing into mugs. Add marshmallows or whipped cream as desired.

Tips:

1. If you prefer a richer, more potent recipe, use a Cabernet Sauvignon. If your tastes run more delicate, go for a sweet red such as a Moscato or a sweet red blend.

2. Use a rubber whisk if you have one, to stir your chocolate. The rubber whisk will be gentle on your pan but also effective in blending the chocolate well into the milk.
