LED and Laser Lights for Holiday Parties Inside and Out

Who says laser and LED holiday light displays have to be parties outdoors only? You’ve seen homes and businesses in the neighborhood with lights twinkling along the shrubs and against the stucco, and like most of us, you’ve looked on in envy. You might also have thought that it’s nice, but wondered if that’s the only thing the projection units can do. Happily, it isn’t!

Outside, against a home making snowflakes and twinkling holiday stars isn’t the only way to enjoy special effects lighting. Lights along the home and landscaping isn’t the only way festive Christmas holiday displays can make an impact. When used inside and aimed at the ceiling or a feature wall, the holiday displays make for the most cheerful indoor party imaginable. Just add a little Christmas music, snacks and drinks of your choice, and let the lights set the mood!

While we need to take precautions when using indoor models outdoors, it is simple enough to use outdoor models either on the lawn or inside, where the party is happening on a chilly night.

To add a cozy element to light display and cheery atmosphere, try spiking the hot chocolate with a little red wine. Here’s a delicious recipe to try.

1 and ½ cups 2% milk

1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

¾ cup red wine

¼ cup sugar

Marshmallows or whipped cream (optional)

Warm the milk on medium heat, gradually stirring in the chocolate. Turn the heat up just a little once the chocolate is incorporated. Stir in the sugar, continuing to stir. Add the wine, still stirring. Don’t let th mixture scorch, but be sure it’s hot enough before dividing into mugs. Add marshmallows or whipped cream as desired.

1. If you prefer a richer, more potent recipe, use a Cabernet Sauvignon. If your tastes run more delicate, go for a sweet red such as a Moscato or a sweet red blend.

2. Use a rubber whisk if you have one, to stir your chocolate. The rubber whisk will be gentle on your pan but also effective in blending the chocolate well into the milk.

Laser and LED Light Displays for Holidays and Peace in the Family

LED and laser light displays can be the solution to a host of life’s issues. They can even make a party out of turmoil. Take the current condition of our political system as an example. Is election season making you crazy? Pop the USA Patriot slide into your Celebrations display unit, and have a party!

How does that work, you might ask? The first piece of advice is to avoid talking politics at your party. It’s impossible to avoid hearing election news lately, but a good party can help you get through the season with your sanity intact if you make it a party rule to not talk issues or candidates. Acknowledge the democratic process itself, while taking a break from the craziness of the season.

Filled with images that represent national pride despite party affiliation, the slide bridges the political gap. When used with the RGB Celebrations unit, the patriotic symbols will fill your party with cheery color. Let your light display say everything that’s really important, so you can relax and have a good time.

For a refreshing and patriotic party cocktail, try this Sangria that’s literally red, white and blue!

1 750ml bottle chilled White Moscato (we recommend Barefoot)

1 cup fresh raspberries

½ cup blueberries

½ cup sliced strawberries

½ cup peeled apple slices

1 cup lemon-lime soda

In a pitcher: add the sliced apples first, then the thoroughly washed berries. Add the chilled wine next. Chill the sangria for at least one hour. Add the soda right before serving, to maintain the most fizz.

For extra fruitiness, try substituting Barefoot Red Moscato for the White Moscato.

Laser Light Display Holiday Safety

Great Christmas Light Displays, Avoiding Air Safety Concerns

Holiday lights are irresistible, and they’re so much easier with a handy laser projector. With the growing trend of using led and laser light displays for Christmas lighting, though, we have also seen some consumers unintentionally running afoul of the FAA. This is because some users of the laser lights have unknowingly positioned their laser lights improperly. When aimed too high, laser lights can reach quite far into the sky, potentially hitting the eyes of pilots in the cockpit of their aircraft, which can put the craft and everyone in it in jeopardy.

It’s not all bad news, though. Setting up a festive holiday display doesn’t have to cause any issues at all for planes and helicopters. Just follow a few tips on positioning your projectors to create a merry light design that is harmless to craft in the air.

* The caution for a laser light display is to not aim displays within or at a flight path within ten miles of an airport.

* Consumers should also carefully consider where to place their projectors to ensure the lights aren’t aimed too high. One way to avoid sending beams too high is to move the units closer to the home or area at which the display is to be aimed. To test the position, start by pointing the unit toward the ground and then gradually shift it upward, stopping when the top of the light beams reach open air.

* Another option is to position the light at a higher elevation and point it downward or level with the upper edges of the structure. This will also help prevent beams from soaring higher than they belong.

Just being aware of the importance of position is the first step in creating a laser display that is happy and safe for everyone. With consideration for these safety tips, a happy holiday– complete with dazzling lights– awaits everyone!
